I’m finally alive and well in New Jersey, counting down until classes start at Rutgers.
I flew in to Boston and crashed with Alex, then took a nice little road trip down here.
I moved in to my new apartment.
I’ve even already gone to a concert in the city (Ted Leo and the Pharmacists at the McCarren […]
I’ve posted some photos of my trip with Brad to San Diego and the Quail Botanical Gardens. Some of them actually came out really neat!
A sampling:
Starting in the fall, I’ll officially be a PhD student!
On Friday, I took a trip down to scenic New Brunswick, New Jersey to visit the Linguistics Department at Rutgers.
I wasn’t exactly thrilled to take a 6am train, but at least the scenery was pretty:
In spite of the early morning travel, I had a great […]
Last night, Danny and I went to my favorite Indian restaurant, Diva Indian Bistro in Davis Square.
Now, it being a Friday night, and Davis Square being a pretty happenin’ spot, parking was… tough… to say the least. After fifteen minutes of circling, we found a spot at last. As we were about to […]
JenSB, STN, and I made jack-o-lanterns yesterday!
STN’s Jack Skellington jack-o-lantern [the one on the left] came out particularly well.
While we’re on the subject of pictures, photos from Chris and my trip down to Northampton/Amherst for our Oxford summer program reunion are online here. I really liked the area, which makes me happy that I’m […]
Not fickle courses, mind you. Just that the tests are fickle, and there will be something about courses in this post.
I may be influenced largely by the fact that I’m taking the GRE (or as Danny called it, the ToD) on Friday, but I’m even further convinced than before that standardized testing is a […]
Dublin (or in Gaelic, Baile Átha Cliath, don’t ask me to pronounce it) was awesome. Chris, Matt, and I headed out on Thursday morning, and returned Saturday.
The weather was gorgeous (or at least how I like it) - cool, windy, and a little overcast. That being said, upon my return I was told […]
Last weekend was a trip to Blenheim Palace in Woodstock/Marlborough, Oxfordshire. We decided to just pay to see the gardens, which ended up being a good decision, as it took us all day just to walk around them. The trip yielded over 100 good photos.
Here are some highlights:
Junior/Senior Formal was last night. I don’t have much substantive to say about it, but go check out the photos.
I really need to stop forgetting to update the good ol’ AB.C blog. It’s not so much that I forget as other things just get in the way. But that’s not what I’m posting about.
I’ve been really exhausted from classes, homework, Union, and trying to have some semblance of a social life. […]
Well, I’m back from a little hiatus from blogging - finals and vacation got the best of me.
I recently got my hands on a new digital camera and Flickr pro account (my photo sets). Hopefully now I’ll have a little bit more instant incentive to capture what’s going on in my life. I […]
Last week I IMed Danny, saying something to the effect of “I haven’t seen you in forever”. After flatly rejecting a hike (in my defense, it was freakin’ cold that day), he suggested the JFK Presidential Library. Having been the Nixon take on the same theme, I thought it would be fun.
I arrived […]
