We last left our intrepid heroes in Paris, where they met Pierre the baguette. Alas, Pierre was never seen again.
Brad and I got up early in the morning to head over to the Louvre - one of those things that you know is going to be boring, but you can’t not do while you’re in Paris (it’s not that I don’t like art - I do - it’s just that I don’t like 6 hours of art at once). On the way, we ended up at a place called Les Halles-Beaubourg. I’m still not quite sure what it was, but the way some of these shots came out, it looks like there had just been a nuclear explosion or something (that’s what I get for forgetting to turn my camera back to “auto” after some low-light shots):

Leaving Les Halles-Beaubourg, we passed a cool sign for a detective. I guess they need PI’s in Paris, too. We also passed a cool church in the middle of nowhere in particular.
The Louvre was actually pretty nifty - for the first hour. After that it started getting really crowded, hot, and stuffy. We did, of course, see the Mona Lisa, and a bunch of other old Italian and French paintings. I much prefer the modern stuff like Kandinsky (Cliché? Yes. Do I care? No). In any case, here’re two pictures of the Louvre - one from outside, and one from inside the glass pyramid:

I think the rest of day two is best summed up in pictures:
