Punting at Cherwell Boathouse

Last Friday, a bunch of people from Trinity College decided to go punting on the River Cherwell.

Punting is basically like canoeing, but instead of paddles, you use a big long pole to push your punt forward off the bottom of the river. It’s pretty hard work.

The river flows down along the Oxfordshire landscape, down to the Vicky Arms pub, where we stopped for a rest.

Check out the rest of the pictures of this classic Oxford tradition.
