I won’t go into the details of the evening, but suffice it to say that Chris and I spent the evening in Boston, involving ghosts of freshman RAs past, awkward seating arrangements, a parrot, and a second visit by the RA and his beau. (If you’re actually interested, there’s a play-by-play in a friended LJ entry).
The point of the story, though, is that it was a wonderfully cathartic evening. Even though I have a few things lined up for my birthday this weekend (ugh, this one means I’m all grown up now…), I don’t think they’ll be able to compare to just hanging out with a good friend in Boston for a few hours. It was exactly what I needed in the midst of my grad school/thesis/GRE-induced stress-fest. Thanks, Chris.
