Last night, Mark decided that I was stressing out too much about the GRE (which I am taking in less than 3 hours…). In order to keep it off my mind, he was benevolent enough to declare that any use of the letters “g” “r” or “e”, or the sounds that they make, would earn me a free punch in the arm.
Needless to say, my arm is a little bruised (it’s really hard not to say words that have an “e” in them, and also don’t have the sound “ee”). In spite of the pain in my arm, I am actually glad, because this morning I woke up to find the following sign slipped under my door:
You’ll Do
GREAT!!

That made my day a little more than is probably healthy.
