Just got back to Brandeis from vacation (I’m very sleepy from the flight). But:
So, I sit myself down in seat 23D on my JetBlue flight from Long Beach, get myself all comfortable, put on my headphones, etc. After I’m nice and situated, I turn my head to look at my neighbor… and it was Professor Ferry and her son! I was pretty impressed that she remembered my name, since it was a kinda large class, and it was a year ago, so that was nice. We had, as they say, “a good conve’sation” about Anthro, the new Language and Linguistics program, and UDRship.
In any case, as we were deplaning, turns out there were more Brandeis kids right across the aisle from us.
As Alex (who was a few rows behind me, since we bought our tickets so late) and I were waiting for a taxi, we hear a voice yelling “Hey, you goin’ to Brandeis?!” coming from a cab. Two Brandeisians, Olivia and Lonnie were in the cab and offered to share with us, effectively cutting the fare in half for all of us. Turns out they’d be on the same flight, too!
The last time my dad flew JetBlue, he sat next to someone from Brandeis who apparently knew me.
What’s with Brandeisians and JetBlue? It must be just that awesome…
