You know you’re going into the right field when…

It took me almost an hour to read three pages of this linguistics paper. Not because it was impossible, mind you, but because I was having a good time. I would see something I didn’t understand, look it up in another book, and then in that book find something interesting - and then I’d see something I didn’t understand there, and look it up somewhere else, and then find something interesting…

I’m glad I had this experience today, especially since I kinda flipped out about grad school last night… Speaking of which, anyone wanna go halvsies on a GRE book with me?
